Historic Morgan Wood

Morgan Wood, at the north end of Loon Lake, originally owned by the Spokane Falls and Northern Railroad. In 1899 Evan Morgan purchased these 43.1 acres and made it a part of Loon Lake Park, the original plan for a city of Loon Lake. Gail Kreuzberger, a Morgan family heir, deeded the property to North Shore Homes Association in 1991. The property ownership was transferred to Loon Lake Land Conservancy in 2004 to steward and maintain it in its natural state as requested by Gail Kreuzberger.
