Anderson Meadow Wetland

Anderson Meadow Wetland is one of the last critically important wetlands for the overall health and cleansing of Loon Lake. Over 1,000 feet of waterfront wetland and 130 acres of meadow and forested uplands comprise this important lake sustaining wetland. Here is a drone video of Anderson Meadow from October of 2025.

In late September 2024, the LLC board invited forester Bill Berrigan to Anderson Meadow to discuss the future of the site. In a walking tour, Berrigan discussed fire management of the uplands and gave an historical perspective of the relationship between fire and the site. Later, board members discussed future trails potential and the management of those future trails. A year later, new trails were created.

Anderson Meadow is made up of five principle properties. Thanks to the generous support of our donors during the fall of 2020 and winter of 2021, the Conservancy has now captured three of the five for permanent protection. If you can help us work to conserve the remaining two large properties, please consider donating to the LLLC.
